Description
Cajun Ground Beef Rotini is a creamy, flavor-packed pasta dish made with seasoned ground beef, rotini pasta, Cajun seasoning, garlic, onion, heavy cream, cream cheese, Parmesan, and mozzarella. Every bite is rich, cheesy, hearty, and perfectly spiced.
Ingredients
1 lb ground beef (80/20)
1 lb rotini pasta
4 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
6 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups heavy cream
4 oz cream cheese, softened
1 1/4 cups freshly grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup beef broth
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
Salt and black pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
1. Cook the rotini in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat the olive oil and 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
3. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it into crumbles as it cooks.
4. Stir in the onion and continue cooking until softened.
5. Add the Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, garlic, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and cook for another minute.
6. Add the remaining butter and pour in the beef broth. Let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes.
7. Stir in the heavy cream and cream cheese until smooth and fully combined.
8. Add the Parmesan and mozzarella cheese, stirring until the sauce becomes thick and creamy.
9. Fold the cooked rotini into the skillet and mix until every spiral is coated in the rich sauce.
10. Remove from the heat and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
