Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup light brown sugar, packed
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup white chocolate chips
1/2 cup red and green M&Ms
1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix melted butter and brown sugar until combined.
Add egg and vanilla extract, stirring well.
Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
Fold in white chocolate chips, M&Ms, and pecans if using.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared pan.
Bake for 20–25 minutes or until the top is golden and a toothpick inserted comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.
