Description

Crockpot Smothered Chicken Legs Recipe delivers tender, juicy chicken drumsticks slow-cooked in a creamy blend of onion soup mix, cream of chicken soup, garlic, and chicken broth, creating a rich, comforting meal perfect over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.

Ingredients

8 chicken drumsticks

1 packet onion soup mix

1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 small onion, sliced

1 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp black pepper

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)

2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and lightly brown chicken drumsticks on all sides. This step is optional but adds flavor.

Place sliced onions in the bottom of the crockpot.

Layer the browned chicken legs over the onions.

In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, onion soup mix, chicken broth, garlic powder, and black pepper.

Pour the mixture over the chicken.

Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until chicken is tender and cooked through.

If thicker gravy is desired, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl, then stir into the crockpot 30 minutes before serving. Let cook until thickened.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or noodles.
