Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 onion, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

4 cups potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.

Season with salt and pepper. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened.

In a bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup and milk.

In a greased 9×13 inch baking dish, layer half of the potatoes, followed by the ground beef mixture, and then the remaining potatoes.

Pour the soup mixture over the potatoes.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 1 hour.

Remove foil and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.

Bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
