Description

Ingredients

4 cups fresh broccoli florets (or frozen)

1 medium onion, diced

2 carrots, shredded

3 cloves garlic, minced

4 cups chicken broth (or vegetable broth for vegetarian)

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons flour

1 cup heavy cream (or half-and-half)

2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

Pinch of ground nutmeg (optional)


Instructions

Prep the Vegetables: Dice the onion, mince the garlic, and shred the carrots. Add them to the slow cooker with the broccoli florets.
