Description

Spooky Deviled Eggs are a festive Halloween twist on a classic appetizer, featuring creamy yolks blended with mayonnaise, mustard, and smoked paprika, then decorated with black olives and optional red coloring for a playful, eerie look.

Ingredients

12 hard-boiled eggs

¼ cup mayonnaise

1 teaspoon yellow mustard

½ teaspoon smoked paprika

Salt and black pepper to taste

Black olives (for decorating spiders or eyeballs)

Red food coloring or beet juice (optional, for a bloody effect)

Instructions

Peel the boiled eggs and slice them in half lengthwise. Carefully scoop out the yolks into a bowl.

Mash the yolks with mayonnaise, mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper until creamy and smooth.

If desired, mix in a drop or two of red food coloring or beet juice for a spooky, blood-like tint.

Use a spoon or piping bag to neatly place the yolk mixture back into the egg whites.

Slice black olives to create spiders, bats, or creepy eyes to place on top of the filled eggs.

Arrange the decorated eggs on a platter and chill until ready to serve.
