Stuffed Pepper Pasta is a comforting dish made with ground beef, diced bell peppers, onion, garlic, rich pasta sauce, Italian seasonings, and tender bowtie pasta, creating a flavorful and satisfying meal perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
1 tablespoon olive oil
• 3 bell peppers, diced
• ½ yellow onion, diced
• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 tablespoon minced garlic
• 24 ounces pasta sauce
• 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• 4 cups cooked bowtie pasta (farfalle)
Instructions
Cook the Pasta Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the bowtie pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Vegetables In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the diced bell peppers and onion. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until softened and lightly browned.
Brown the Beef Add the ground beef to the skillet with the vegetables. Break it apart and cook until fully browned. Drain off any excess fat.
Season the Mixture Stir in the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add the Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Add Sauce and Simmer Pour in the pasta sauce and stir to combine. Lower the heat and let the mixture simmer for about 5 minutes to blend the flavors.
Combine with Pasta Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the skillet. Gently toss until the pasta is evenly coated and everything is well combined.
Serve and Enjoy Serve hot. Optional: Top with shredded cheese or chopped fresh parsley for extra flavor.
