Description

Delicious Thanksgiving Jiffy Cornbread Stuffing combines crumbly Jiffy cornbread with sautéed onions and celery, rich butter, chicken broth, egg, and savory seasonings for a comforting, flavorful holiday side everyone will love.


Ingredients

1 box (8.5 ounces) Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix

2 tablespoons butter

1 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup chopped celery

1/2 cup chicken broth

1 egg, beaten

1 teaspoon poultry seasoning

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

Prepare Jiffy Corn Muffin Mix according to package directions. Bake and let cool. Crumble the cornbread.

Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and celery and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine crumbled cornbread, cooked onion and celery, chicken broth, beaten egg, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.

Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through and lightly browned.
