Description

Marry Me Chicken Tortellini Skillet is a rich, creamy one-pan dish made with tender chicken, cheese tortellini, garlic, Parmesan, sun-dried tomatoes, and herbs, all simmered in a flavorful, velvety sauce perfect for a comforting dinner.

Ingredients

• 2 large chicken breasts, cut into cubes

• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1/2 tsp black pepper

• 1/2 tsp paprika

• 1/2 tsp garlic powder

• 2 tbsp olive oil

• 2 tbsp unsalted butter

• 2 tbsp minced garlic

• 1 cup chicken broth

• 1 cup heavy cream

• 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

• 1 tsp red pepper flakes

• 1/2 tsp dried oregano

• 1/2 tsp dried thyme

• 1/3 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

• 1 (19 oz) bag frozen cheese tortellini

• extra Parmesan cheese for serving (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, black pepper, paprika, and garlic powder. Toss the chicken cubes in the seasoned flour until well coated.

Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the coated chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove chicken from the skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, add minced garlic and chopped sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken broth, scraping up any browned bits. Lower the heat, then stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Add red pepper flakes, oregano, and thyme. Simmer for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.

Stir in the frozen cheese tortellini. Cover and cook, stirring now and then, until the tortellini is heated through and tender, about 5–7 minutes.

Return the cooked chicken with any juices to the skillet. Gently toss everything together and let it heat through. Serve hot, topped with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
